No we don't charge for appointments during our normal opening hours.

Should you wish to book an appointment in an evening or on a day when we are closed, there would be a small fee payable in advance which would be refundable if you purchased your dress with us at that appointment.

You should shopping for your wedding dress when you are ready to buy and have the funds in place to do so. There is no hard and fast rule but most brides purchase their dress around 12 months before their wedding day, some a lot earlier than this and some with only a few months to go!

Our bridal gowns to order in currently range from £1,200 to £2,200. We also have an "off the rail" price on lots of dresses which means if the dress fits you and you would prefer to purchase the sample rather than ordering a new dress, the off the rail price shows the discount available.

We always have a sample sale rail with our retired gowns and prices currently range from £350 to £1,250. These are available for immediate purchase.

No not especially, unless you have something that you would like to bring, ie your wedding shoes or a borrowed veil to try on whilst choosing your gown. Try to be open minded when trying dresses on, brides often say yes to something which they never thought they would wear! Its always best to wear nude underwear if you can but wear what you feel most comfortable in.

We always recommend up to 4 guests, anymore can be quite overwhelming with lots of different opinions. Bring the special person/people whose opinion you trust the most when choosing your gown and who you want there when saying YES to the dress!

Delivery times are around 4 to 7 months but we can sometimes get dresses quicker than this depending on the style etc.

Fittings normally start 3 months before your wedding date so you will need to factor this into your timescales.

Dresses are made to the nearest size for you from the designer's size chart so the majority of brides will need alterations on their wedding dress to make it perfect!

We don't have an in-house dressmaker but we do recommend a local dressmakers who we have worked with for around 15 years and give you the details to book in with them directly once your dress has arrived.

You should budget around £250 to £300 for bridal alterations.
